About The Tour

Departing from Canterbury Museum at 10:00 a.m.

You'll experience a unique underground 30 minute cave adventure in the pristine Southern Alps.

Enjoy the views during the 90 minute drive from Christchurch. You will be driven across the Canterbury Plains, up and over over Porters Pass, past Lake Lyndon.

We will set up our own shelter for your convenience when changing, and for sheltered dining if less than ideal weather conditions prevail on the day.

All quality equipment is provided for you.

Wetsuit, wetsuit bootees, helmet, LED head lamps, towel.

This ensures you are kept warm and that you have the very best visibility possible during your experience through the limestone cave formation. If your phone is waterproof feel free to tuck it into your wetsuit and use it during the journey.

Following the cave experience, enjoy a gourmet bbq meal prepared for by your travelling chef, while you sit back and enjoy stunning alpine scenery.

Your meal will consist of hot soup and focaccia bread,
main course with quality wine or craft beer or juice,
and cheeseboard to finish.
(Special diets are accommodated by request.)

Following your meal, we dismantle our shelter, pack all up into the trailer, and head back towards Christchurch. Stopping for coffee or tea at Castle Hill, this location allows you to explore the grand limestone rock battlements at your leisure.

Numerous outstanding photo opportunities present themselves throughout the day.

Back into our vehicle and on our back to Christchurch, arriving approximately 5 pm at your departure point.
